Katana Alternatives in 2026: Pick Your Replacement by Your Reason for Leaving

Leaving over price or wanting deeper production: MRPeasy

For most switchers, MRPeasy is the answer to both complaints at once. Realizing you needed less, not more: inFlow

A surprising share of Katana churn is businesses that were never really planning production — they were receiving, storing, assembling a little, and shipping. The other names you'll see, honestly assessed

We don't earn from any of these, and none is our first pick for the small manufacturers we serve — but each has a legitimate lane. Fishbowl is the long-standing choice for shops deeply wedded to QuickBooks (especially Desktop); it's capable, quote-priced, and carries more Windows-era weight than the cloud tools above. Odoo offers modular open-source ERP with a very cheap per-app entry (its inventory app starts around $25/month) and near-unlimited flexibility — the honest cost is implementation: plan on consultant help or a technical person in-house. Cin7 Core (formerly DEAR) leans multichannel retail and suits sellers juggling many storefronts more than true manufacturers. At the tiny end, Craftybase (around $99/month) fits handmade and craft producers who mostly need COGS and materials tracking, and Zoho Inventory is a budget pick for light kitting — neither is built for a real production floor.

When staying with Katana is the right call

Fair is fair: if you're a D2C brand on Shopify, your team actually uses the visual production board, and flat pricing with unlimited users beats per-seat math for your headcount, Katana remains the smoothest tool in its class — and its free plan means a downgrade can precede a departure. The switching checklist
