Corona Treatment technology

Corona treatment is a method of altering the characteristics of a surface by utilizing a corona discharge. Applying a Corona treater on the surface of a material or item can guarantee effective adhesion with printing inks, coatings, and adhesives.
The objective of corona treatment is to enhance the adhesion characteristics of polymer-based products.

Complimentary examination of your component:
We own internal testing facilities and provide a complimentary examination of your component. Please provide us with a sample and provide a detailed explanation of your project. Upon completion of the testing process, you will be provided with a comprehensive report that documents the findings. Additionally, we will offer expert guidance on the most appropriate and effective treatment approach for your specific needs.

The PlasmaTEC-X Atmospheric Plasma treatment system by Tantec operates on the principle of generating a high voltage DC Plasma discharge in the surrounding air.

This device's adaptability enables its utilization in fully integrated robotic cells, as a standalone unit, or in almost any manufacturing line.

In order to achieve optimal Plasma Discharge from the Discharge Nozzle, it is necessary for the compressed air to maintain a specific level of pressure and volume. The PlasmaTEC-X incorporates the AirTEC system, which guarantees a consistent flow of compressed air to the Discharge Nozzle at all times.

The AirTEC System features a plasma generator that autonomously regulates the airflow of the Discharge nozzle, irrespective of the length of the cable or hose.

The PlasmaTEC-X is highly user-friendly due to the AirTEC System and its universal power input. No modifications are required; just connect the device to the power grid (mains power) and compressed air, and it will be ready for use.

Intended for various components
The VacuTEC Plasma Treater from Tantec is specifically engineered to perform plasma treatment on a wide variety of injection molded components.
The VacuTEC is offered in both single and multiple tray configurations.

Rapid therapy and optimal bonding
The VacuTEC provides rapid treatment times and excellent adhesion properties for subsequent coating, gluing, painting, and printing applications.

Vacuum processing chamber
Within the vacuum treatment chamber, a pressure of 2 to 12 mbar is established prior to generating an electrical discharge via the integrated plasma electrode. The duration of treatment cycles is typically brief, ranging from 2 to 120 seconds, contingent upon the material and its composition.

A highly valued machine
The VacuTEC is valued for its user-friendly operation, dependable performance in manufacturing, and rapid processing speed. While it is possible to treat gases like argon and oxygen, it is generally unnecessary due to the intense power generated by the plasma discharge.
VacuTEC utilizes the state-of-the-art Tantec power generator HV-X series as a power source, along with specifically engineered plasma transformers, to deliver voltage to the plasma electrodes.
